MIT Pune needs no introduction for the student, parent and the corporate community at large. With a humble beginning in the year 1983 MIT was launched on the principle of creating an institution that truly nurtures students in every aspect, and transform them into “winning personalities”. Today, MIT-WPU is ahead of time and is India’s leading University with a track record of Educational Excellence since four decades. It strives to see that their students are in an environment that they belong to, and together learn, innovate and evolve to being Intellectually Sharp and Spiritually Elevated.

Engineering education in India has evolved over the years and global thinkers have time and again exhorted the need for quality enhancement in it. MIT-WPU is not an institution which functions like selection agencies which do a pre-selection of brilliant students for potential recruiters to choose from.  Instead it boasts of being a new age engineering university that appreciates the need of global technocrats for futuristic engineering solutions. This is evident from the fact that several of our alumni are holding top positions in global conglomerates in India and abroad. The faculty of engineering (formerly known as MIT Pune, & MIT-COE) has been ranked among top 10 private engineering institutes in India, next to IITs and NITs.

MIT-WPU is a center for scientific, educational, technological & spiritual development for the youth. It enables its students to face the challenges of the present and the future technical advancements of a fast changing world by incorporating best of academics, industrial, research and value-based education.

At MIT-WPU, we focus on developing versatile engineers as per industry requirements. Emphasis would be given on providing appropriate skills to meet the ever changing needs of engineering and allied industry at both national and international levels. The curriculum includes essentials and principles of physics, mathematics, core engineering subjects with an interdisciplinary approach. Our Engineering Programs are based on the three cardinal principles: providing social context to education, giving maximum choice to the student to choose a career path and encouraging active learning.

Today students from extremely diverse backgrounds across the world are experiencing ‘Life transforming curriculum’ across equally diverse fields of study & professional study programs such as- Engineering & Technology, Design, Subsurface Engineering, Management Studies, Pharmacy, International Business, Law, Economics, Film Studies, Photography, Mass Media & Journalism, Liberal Arts, Commerce, Science, Political Leadership & Governance, and also School of Education.
